Σύμφωνα με την ανακοίνωση, οι κυανόκρανοι επέστρεφαν από το παρατηρητήριό τους κοντά στο χωριό Τζανιατάγκ, όταν δέχτηκαν επίθεση με όπλα μικρού βεληνεκούς.
Δεν έχει διευκρινιστεί προς το παρόν πόσοι άνθρωποι επέβαιναν στο όχημα, το υπουργείο όμως ανέφερε ότι σκοτώθηκαν όλοι.
